Karl and Angela Robb have been students & practitioners of Reiki since 1998. They have completed Levels 1, 2, 3, and year long Mastership program of Reiki Jin Kei Do. The Reiki Mastership program was lead by their teachers, Gilbert Gallego, Anne Aden and Stella Koch.
In 2008, Karl and Angela initiated a Reiki for Parkinson’s disease workshop for those living with Parkinson’s disease and their carepartners, caregivers, family, or friends.
Karl Robb, 45, has lived with Parkinson’s disease (PD) for over 25 years. Karl’s symptoms appeared at 17 but weren’t accurately diagnosed until 23. He has been married to his best friend and care-partner, Angela, for 15 years.
Karl & Angela run a PD support group in Fairfax, VA. He and Angela are Virginia State Directors for the Parkinson’s Action Network (PAN). In 2008, they were awarded the Murray Charters Award for outstanding service to the PD community. In 2009, Karl joined the Board of Directors of the Parkinson’s Action Network (PAN). Karl has been active in PAN since the organization’s inception.
Karl is a Reiki Master and has practiced Reiki for 13 years. He has also studied Buddho Enersense 1 taught by Lama Kunzang Dechen Chodron (Judith Hitt). He is finishing a book of his writings and continues to invent and writes a blog on PD issues at www.asoftvoice.com. Karl is a frequent lecturer on PD issues, an avid photographer, writer and enjoys staying active in the PD community.
Karl received his B.A.in English from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

She is involved in her local area with Parkinson Foundation of the National Capital Area (PFNCA). From 2006-2010, she served on PFNCA’s Board of Directors. Angela also serves as a co-facilitator with Karl for the Fairfax City PD support group.
Angela is an advocate for Parkinson Disease issues as a State Director for the Parkinson’s Action Network (PAN) in Virginia. In 2008, Angela and Karl were awarded the Murray Charters Award from PAN for Outstanding Service to the Parkinson’s community.
Angela shares her knowledge as a carepartner as a speaker and presenter at PD conferences and support groups. From 2005-2008, Angela worked in developing the Carepartner sessions for the National Parkinson Foundation’s Young Onset Parkinson Network (YOPN) conference.
Angela has a B.A. in Political Science, Public Policy and Administration from West Virginia University.
