About Us

Karl and Angela Robb have been students & practitioners of Reiki since 1998. They have completed Levels 1, 2, 3, and year long Mastership program of Reiki Jin Kei Do (2012). The Reiki Mastership program was led by their teachers, Gilbert Gallego, Anne Aden and Stella Koch.

In 2008, Karl and Angela initiated a Reiki for Parkinson’s disease workshop for those living with Parkinson’s disease and their carepartners, caregivers, family, or friends.

Karl Robb, 45, has lived with Parkinson’s disease (PD) for over 25 years. Karl’s symptoms appeared at 17 but weren’t accurately diagnosed until 23. He has been married to his best friend and care-partner, Angela, for over 20 years.

Karl is a Reiki Master and  has practiced Reiki for 13 years. He became a Reiki Jin Kei Do master in 2012. He has also studied Buddho Enersense 1 taught by Lama Kunzang Dechen Chodron (Judith Hitt). He has published two books and writes a blog on his journey with Parkinson’s disease at  www.asoftvoice.com. Karl is a frequent lecturer on Parkinson’s issues, an avid photographer, writer and enjoys staying active in the Parkinson’s disease community. Karl received his B.A.in English from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Angela Robb

Angela is a Reiki Master (2012) and has been a practitioner of Reiki Jin Kei Do as a student of Gilbert Gallego for 20 years.  She has also studied Buddho Enersense 1 taught by Lama Kunzang Dechen Chodron (Judith Hitt).

Angela shares her knowledge as a carepartner as a speaker and presenter at Parkinson’s conferences and support groups. From 2005-2008, Angela worked in developing the Carepartner sessions for the National Parkinson Foundation’s Young Onset Parkinson Network (YOPN) conference.  Angela has a B.A. in Political Science, Public Policy and Administration from West Virginia University.
